LOCATION
In the middle of the Danubian Plain, northwest side on 38 km away of the old capital of Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo and 8 km away on the north side of town Pavlikeni, is located a little village with big history, which was called before Patreshnitsa, and now called Patresh.
Patresh is located in three short hills, in which has 2 little rivers. The rivers under the village gave the beginning of the small river Elia, which is part of river Qntra.
There little rivers are very important for the village, because around them are build a lot of stoned fountains and wells. In the past , the water of the rivers watered the lands there and helped to the 6 mills ,which were there. Also there little rivers separate the village in 3 parts : north, middle and sounth. The North part is called Batashka. The middle part is called THE MIDDLE ONE. It is the oldest part of the village. The South part is called Daskotska.
The land of Patresh is 27,23 square km. The 3 hills get bigger and higher on the west side.
There are 2 big main roads in Patresh- the first one is for the town Pavlikeni and the second one is on the east side of Patresh and it goes to town Polski Trambesh.
The road for Pavlikeni was built in 1914/15, in the early 20s, it was renovated In 30s and 40s. In 2015 it was partly renovated,too.
The winter in Patresh is cold, the summer is hot. At the end of the autumn and during the winter was northwest wind, called “ Dunavets:”. In November and December blows the north wind, called “Deribivol”. Not very ofter blows the southeast wind,called “Topliaka”. The most common wind is the west one “Gorniaka” and the east one “Dolniaka”, which blows rarely.
HISTORY
From the people who lived in the village before are founds a lot of things : coins, things that people used in their daylife ect. Some of them are found near river Elia. In the Middle part of Patresh are found a little stonned ax by Ivan T. Bankov, some parts of a spindle found by Zdravko K, Pavlov , a clay pot found by Atanas D, Popov and a clay jug found by Ivan Tr. Sakalov. These things prove that on Patresh land lived Thracians 2000 years ago.
Patresh is located in Dolna Mizia. There were found things from roman villages from 2 and 3 century. There is a historical museum in Pavlikeni where you can see some of the things.

In 1982 was found a statue of woman ,which was given to the musem in V.Tarnovo.
In 2015 the village won a project “Mestni initsiativi” from Pavlikeni. The projec is inspirited bt romans time and in the village is built a building ,which reminds of the roman times. It is in the park near the Majority.
